Description
Der Device Type Manager (DTM) hat genaue Kenntnis über Funktionalität und Parameter der einzelnen Funktionsmodule und des Buskopplers. Neben der Modulkonfi guration ist mit dem DTM auch das Forcen (Simulieren) der Ein-/Ausgänge und die Darstellung der Diagnose-Meldungen möglich. Aufgrund der standardisierten FDT/DTM Schnittstelle ist der DTM leicht in das Engineering-Tool des Prozess- leitsystems zu integrieren. Da der DTM zum Gerät und nicht zum Leitsystem gehört, ist die einmal erlernte Bedienung in jedem Umfeld gleich. Die vollständige Konfi guration und die Parametrierung werden beim Hochlaufen des Busnetzwerkes bzw. nach Tausch der Hardware automatisch in die S900-Stationen geladen, so dass man bei diesem System von einem echten „Plug and Play“-Verhalten sprechen kann. Konfi gurations- und Parameterdaten können über den DTM visualisiert und aktualisiert werden. Die Archivierung erfolgt in der zentralen Datenbank des Engineeringtools. Die systemweite Datenkonsistenz ist somit sichergestellt. Aufwendungen bei Inbetriebnahme und Fehlersuche werden reduziert.
