DS215UDSAG1AZZ01A is a LAN communication board designed by General Electric for their Mark V board series.Local area network (LAN) communicationsare performed by the isolated and non-isolated circuits found on the board.Drive communications via a local network are executed using this LAN card. Featured on the card are a principle microprocessor as well as system memory space. This board is capable of communicating viaDLAN and ARCNETlocal networks.
The board features aLAN control processor, or LCP, that executes system communications. Network communications to and from the DS215UDSAG1AZZ01A are processed using this LCP.Two EPROM slotsserve as onboard storage for the LCP software. Communications between thedrive control processor (DCP)and the LCP occur in dedicatedRAM memory space. A number of connections are available on the board to allow interfacing with a variety of system features. Position 2PL serves as the power supply connection while 3PL provides an input point for the drive’s control card. 10PL provides a LAN I/O terminal board connection for the LCP.DLAN and ARCNETcommunications are possible using the ARCPL connection. Amodule programmer and alphanumeric keypadprovides users with system access to diagnostics and settings.
