Description
The IS200VTURH1BAC is designed as a Primary Turbine Protection card within the GE MKVI Speedtronic system. This control system, which can be built to offer either simplex or triple modular redundant control, has built-in IONet (Ethernet) communications and allows users to access most important data from a central Operator interface.
The IS200VTURH1BAC is used for several functions. This includes
- Measuring turbine speed/generating primary overspeed trip
- Controlling overspeed relays located on the TRPx boards
- Monitoring induced shaft current and alarming when levels are excessive
- Monitoring induced shaft voltage and alarming when levels are excessive
- Monitoring (8) Geiger-Mueller flame detectors (gas turbines only)
The IS200VTURH1BAC has a narrow front faceplate with only a few components mounted on its surface. This includes one d-shell connector for connecting a cable, three LED indicators, and two pin clips for locking the board in place within the rack system.
