The GE Fanuc IC670MDL241 input module is a 240 Volts AC discrete input module manufactured as a member of the GE Field Control series. This module has 2 separate input groups, with each consisting of 8 discrete inputs points. It is powered by the Bus Interface Unit (BIU) power supply while there is an additional external 240 Volts AC rated power source that powers every isolated group. This module has inputs that respond to voltages within the range of 0 to 265 Volts AC. It features LED indicators that show the on and off statuses of each input point, as well as a separate “PWR” LED indicator that turns on to indicate the presence of backplane power and the field power. The IC670MDL241 module features a network of capacitors and resistors that provide the filtering of the inputs and establish the input thresholds. It also has optoisolators for providing isolation between the logic components of the module and the field inputs.

The input characteristics of the GE Fanuc IC670MDL241 input module include a typical reactive input impedance rating of 38.5 kiloohms and 46.3 kiloohms at 60 and 50 Hertz, respectively.
