Description
GE Fanuc manufactures the IC695ETM001 Ethernet interface module as part of the RX3i PACSystems series. This unit is designed and intended to enable controllers in the RX3i PACSystems series to interface with the VersaMax, Series 90-30, and other controllers over the Ethernet Networks. It features an Ethernet Interface that can operate at 10/100 Mbps and that can sense the speed and the type of cable connected. A pair of twisted cable measuring up to 100 meters in length is used to connect network nodes at 10 Mbps. Additionally, a Category 5 twisted-pair cable with a length of 100 meters is used to connect the network nodes at 100 Mbps. The IC695ETM001 Ethernet interface features an Ethernet port that supports the use of full-duplex and half-duplex nodes. Additionally, both straight-through and crossover Ethernet cables can be used for the network connections. This Ethernet interface module supports 1 MAC address along with 1 IP address. It comes with an embedded Ethernet switch that enables the daisy chaining of the Ethernet nodes.
Another notable feature of the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystems IC695ETM001 Ethernet interface module is an RS-232 serial port. The IC695ETM001 interface module supports data rates ranging from 1200 bps to 115,200 bps. It has an integral station manager function that is accessible via Ethernet and Serial connections, and it also offers supervisory access. Among the services that the station manager function provides are commands for controlling and polling the station, password security, and access to the monitoring logs, configuration parameters, and statistics.
