The MVI94 Application Development Module (ADM) is a powerful, backplane-compatible solution designed for use with Automation's FLEX I/O and Integra I/O platforms. This single-slot module enables user-developed 'C' applications to run on the FLEX platform, making it an excellent choice for accelerating custom ASCII data communications or protecting proprietary algorithms.
The MVI94-ADM supports two fully isolated serial ports, allowing for easy integration of serial field devices into the FLEX platform. The serial ports, configured for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 communication, can be set for either direct or multi-drop field communication using jumper settings. The application program can independently control these two ports, providing maximum flexibility in design and ensuring efficient data handling across the system.
