The Modicon 171CCC76010is a Quantum standard CPU manufactured by Schneider Electric as part of the Quantum automation platform. This Unity Processor has a number of connections, including 1 USB port, 2 distributed AS-Interface and 4 remote, 6 local Ethernet TCP/IP, 6 local Modbus Plus, 6 local Profibus DP, and 1 Modbus RS232/485. It also comes equipped with two local racks and an ethernet router communication service, making it highly adaptable for a wide range of industrial automation needs.
Unplanned machine states, such as stop or emergency off situations or initialization movements can be realized synchronously. Dynamic changes of the goods to be packed or the packaging material in the plant, (like slippage of the products to be packed or expansion of the packaging material) can be registered by sensors while the machine is running and eliminated by modifying the corresponding drive movements. This development substantially changes and highly simplifies the classical mechanical machine concept.
