These engines process a Pulse-Width Modulated input. When a Woodward Load Sharing module is attached to it, this allows the integration of other Woodward-produced parts as well. |

It also divides the load sharing between the Caterpillar engines and speed control module, and the Woodward electronic controls. |

The power supply intake that this module requires ranges between the minimum intake of 18 to 32 V/DC, or alternatively, 5 Watts. It is protected from reverse voltage up to -32 V/DC, as well as under voltage and overvoltage up to 80 V/DC. |
