Information
An optical ESB bus enables to transmit of the conventional ESB bus signal for a long distance by using an optical fiber cable and an optical ESB bus repeater module. Connection types are selectable from chain and star topologies to extend the ESB bus transmittal distance up to 50 Km. An optical ESB bus is only applicable to use with FFCS-V.
CENTUM VP FCS is equipped with a housekeeping function that is to monitor the environment in the cabinet where FCS is mounted or the status of FCS itself. The FCS’s reliability is improved by this housekeeping function. Taking an example of FFCS-V, details of the housekeeping unit (HKU) are described here.
HKU hardware is composed of HKU, DPU, fan power supply unit, node fan unit, vertical type power distribution unit, and utility unit. All of these are set inside the FCS cabinet. The table below shows an overview of each function unit.
