Description
The Emerson EPRO PR6424/01CS is a 16mm eddy current sensor designed to detect vibration in large rotating machinery such as steam turbines, gas compressors, and fans. It uses eddy currents to measure the distance between the sensor tip and the shaft's surface. This distance is proportional to the amount of vibration. The PR6424/01CS is ideal for applications where it is difficult or impractical to mount a sensor directly on the shaft, such as in hazardous environments or where there is limited space.
Features
Non-contact measurement: The PR6424/01CS does not require contact with the shaft, which eliminates the risk of wear and damage.
Wide dynamic range: The PR6424/01CS can measure static displacement up to ±2.0mm and dynamic range of 0 to 1000 microns.
High sensitivity: The PR6424/01CS provides a sensitivity of 4 V/mm with linearity of ±1.5%.
Durable construction: The PR6424/01CS operates in temperatures ranging from -35 to 180°C and tolerates shock and vibration.
Flexible mounting: Options include field or enclosure mounting.
